## Description

## Overview

The Heltec Wireless Stick Lite V3 is a compact, triple-connectivity development board combining an ESP32-S3FN8 microcontroller with a Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver. It provides WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth LE 5.0, and long-range LoRa communication in a slim stick form factor measuring just 58 x 23mm. Unlike its sibling the Wireless Stick V3, this "Lite" variant omits the OLED display, making it more power-efficient and cost-effective for embedded deployments where a screen is unnecessary.

The board features an integrated lithium battery management system with charge/discharge control, overcharge protection, and automatic USB/battery power switching via an SH1.25-2 JST connector. A GPIO-controlled 3.3V power rail (Vext) lets you power external sensors on demand and cut power during deep sleep for minimal power consumption (~800uA sleep current). The CP2102 USB-to-UART bridge provides reliable programming and debugging over USB-C.

The Wireless Stick Lite V3 has strong community support as a Meshtastic and LoRaWAN node. It is officially supported by the Heltec ESP32 Arduino framework, PlatformIO, Zephyr RTOS, and ESP-IDF. The board is also compatible with projects like ESP32 Paxcounter, Disaster Radio, and TinyGS satellite ground stations. With its low price, small footprint, and triple wireless connectivity, it serves as an excellent platform for IoT sensor networks, environmental monitoring, off-grid mesh communication, and LoRaWAN deployments.
