CMWX1ZZABZ Arduino Sketches for Grasshopper
Collection of Arduino sketches for the Grasshopper LoRaWAN board including LoRaWAN test, IMU sensor fusion with LSM6DSM/LIS2MDL/LPS22HB, RTC, DAC/ADC, and I2C slave examples.
CMWX1ZZABZ Arduino Sketches for Grasshopper
A comprehensive collection of Arduino sketches by Kris Winer (kriswiner) for the Grasshopper LoRaWAN Development Board and other CMWX1ZZABZ-based devices.
Overview
This repository provides ready-to-use Arduino sketches for the Grasshopper development board, covering everything from basic LED blink examples to advanced LoRaWAN communication and 9-DoF IMU sensor fusion. The sketches use the ArduinoCore-stm32l0 core by GrumpyOldPizza.
Available Sketches
- LoRaWANtest — LoRaWAN join and data transmission test
- LoRaWAN_GetDevEUI — retrieve the device EUI for TTN registration
- LSM6DSM_LIS2MDL_LPS22HB_Grasshopper — 9-DoF IMU sensor fusion with Madgwick filter, combining accelerometer/gyroscope (LSM6DSM), magnetometer (LIS2MDL), and barometric pressure/temperature (LPS22HB)
- Blink_Grasshopper — basic LED blink test
- BlinkLEDPWM — PWM-based LED control
- DAC_ADC_Grasshopper — digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital converter examples
- RTC_Grasshopper — real-time clock usage and low-power wake-up
- I2CslaveGrasshopper — I2C slave mode communication
- sharpmemtest_Grasshopper — Sharp Memory LCD display test
Arduino Core
The sketches require the ArduinoCore-stm32l0 Arduino core, which provides native LoRaWAN stack support without AT commands. Install via the Arduino Board Manager or from the GitHub repository at https://github.com/GrumpyOldPizza/ArduinoCore-stm32l0.
Hardware
The Grasshopper is a compact 18 x 45 mm board with Murata's CMWX1ZZABZ-078 module containing an STM32L082 MCU (Cortex M0+, 32 MHz, 192 KB flash, 20 KB RAM) and Semtech SX1276 LoRa radio. It exposes 19 GPIOs and achieves 2.1 uA sleep current.
