## Description

## Overview

The BigTreeTech Manta E3EZ V1.0 is a compact 3D printer control board specifically designed for upgrading Creality Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro, and Ender 5 printers to run Klipper firmware with an integrated Linux host. It combines "Manta" technology — a Board-to-Board (BTB) connector for direct installation of a Raspberry Pi CM4 or BigTreeTech CB1 module — with "EZ" technology, supporting BigTreeTech's pinless EZ-series stepper drivers. This makes it the most feature-packed upgrade option for budget Ender-series printers.

The board is based on the STM32G0B1 ARM Cortex-M0+ MCU and provides 5 stepper driver sockets (X, Y, Z with dual-Z support, E0, E1) compatible with EZ2209, EZ2130, TMC2209, TMC2208, and other standard drivers. The board is directly compatible with the Ender 3 mounting pattern, though minor printable adapters are required for other Ender models. The Manta series eliminates the need for an external Raspberry Pi, resulting in much cleaner wiring and a more compact installation.

The E3EZ supports CAN bus (on PB12/PB13), USB Type-C (on PA11/PA12), BLTouch, filament runout detection, Neopixel RGB output, an accelerometer SPI port for Klipper input shaping, and SPI/HDMI display support (HDMI requires CB1). It has a single EXP1 header for compatible displays. M2 standoffs are used under the CB1 module due to the high track density on this compact board. All design files are available open source on GitHub.
