Overview

The BigTreeTech SKRat V1.0 is a compact and affordable 3D printer control board based on the STM32G0B1VET6 ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller running at 64MHz. It is designed for smaller 3D printers and features 5 stepper driver channels — X, Y, Z (with dual-Z support), E0, and E1 — accepting STEP/DIR, UART, and SPI mode drivers. The board targets an entry-level price point at $39 while still including modern features like CAN-FD.

The SKRat includes 5 NTC thermistor ports plus 1 PT100/PT1000 port for precise temperature monitoring. Fan outputs include 4 two-wire PWM fan ports, 1 always-on fan port, and 2 four-wire PWM fan ports with tachometer support for speed monitoring. Motor voltage is jumper-selectable between 5V, 12V, and VIN. An onboard CAN-FD port enables connection to BigTreeTech's EBB CAN toolhead boards for simplified wiring in modern printer builds.

Expansion options include an SPI port (3.3V/5V selectable), UART expansion output, and I2C expansion header. A microSD slot is provided for firmware updates and printing from SD card. The board measures a compact 110×85mm, making it suitable for printers with limited space. Both Marlin and Klipper firmware are supported, with open-source schematics and PCB design files available on the BigTreeTech GitHub repository.
