Overview

The BigTreeTech Octopus Pro V1.1 is an advanced 3D printer control board that builds on the Octopus V1.1 with critical upgrades for demanding applications. The primary enhancement is support for up to 60V stepper motor power — each of the 8 driver sockets can independently select between a dedicated high-voltage "MOTOR_POWER" rail (up to 60V) or the main 12–28V power supply via a jumper, enabling the use of high-voltage TMC5160 drivers alongside standard drivers on the same board.

The board uses a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 STM32H723ZE or STM32F446ZE MCU (depending on variant). Compared to the standard Octopus, the Pro adds an onboard MAX31865 chip for accurate PT100/PT1000 RTD temperature measurement, supports both NPN and PNP proximity switches on the Probe port (standard Octopus is PNP only), and provides a dedicated IO pin for the Probe port (PC5) rather than sharing it with BLTouch. The Raspberry Pi-compatible header uses the exact same 5V/5V/GND/RX/TX pinout as a Raspberry Pi.

The Octopus Pro supports Marlin, Klipper, and RepRapFirmware (RRF on F446/F429 variants). The CAN bus interface uses an XH2.54 2-pin connector (V1.1). The board dimensions are 160×100mm, identical to the standard Octopus, making it a drop-in upgrade for existing enclosures. Full open-source schematics, PCB layout, and firmware are available on GitHub.
