## Description

## Overview

The LILYGO T-Higrow is a purpose-built plant monitoring board combining an Espressif ESP32 with a suite of agricultural sensors on a single PCB with a probe tip for direct soil insertion. The capacitive soil moisture sensor avoids the corrosion issues of resistive alternatives, and a dedicated soil fertility/conductivity sensor measures nutrient concentration in the growing medium.

Environmental conditions are captured by either a DHT11 (temperature + humidity) or BME280 (temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure) sensor depending on the variant. A BH1750 I2C light intensity sensor covers 1–65535 lux, enabling light-cycle monitoring for indoor grow systems. The onboard WiFi 802.11 b/g/n allows real-time data reporting to Home Assistant via MQTT, ESPHome, or ThingSpeak.

Kit variants include a 200mAh LiPo battery for cable-free operation. With Arduino IDE and MicroPython support and an active GitHub repository, the T-Higrow is a ready-to-deploy soil sensor for smart gardens, greenhouses, and precision agriculture projects.
