## Description

## Overview

The Olimex ESP32-C6-DevKit-Lipo is a compact, breadboard-friendly open-source hardware development board built around the Espressif ESP32-C6-MINI-1-N4 module. Released under the CERN Open Hardware Licence, it provides WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter connectivity at an affordable price point under €9.

The board features 18 GPIO pins on two 0.1" pitch headers with 0.9" row spacing — perfectly fitting a standard breadboard without blocking any columns. Two USB-C ports are provided: one connects through a serial converter for programming and debugging, while the other gives direct access to the ESP32-C6's native USB/JTAG interface.

An integrated Li-Po battery charger and connector make it suitable for battery-powered Matter and Thread sensor nodes. A user LED, battery status LED, and user/boot button round out the onboard peripherals. The UEXT connector offers an additional I2C/SPI/UART expansion interface compatible with the Olimex UEXT module ecosystem.

Full hardware design files including schematics and KiCad sources are available on GitHub, and the board is OSHW certified. It supports ESP-IDF, Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, and ESPHome.
