## Description

## Overview

The Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C6 is the first member of the XIAO family to support Thread, making it a natural choice for Matter smart home projects. At just 21×17.8mm — smaller than a thumb — it integrates an ESP32-C6 SoC with dual RISC-V cores (160MHz high-performance + 20MHz low-power), WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter connectivity.

Security is built in at the hardware level: secure boot, flash encryption, identity protection, and a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) are standard on the ESP32-C6. Combined with Matter's cryptographic commissioning model, this makes the XIAO ESP32C6 suitable for production-grade smart home products, not just prototypes.

The onboard high-performance ceramic antenna provides up to 80m range for BLE and WiFi, while a U.FL connector allows connection to an external antenna for extended range. Deep sleep current of just 15µA enables long battery life in sensor applications. A battery JST connector is provided for portable applications.

With 11 GPIO supporting PWM, I2C, SPI, UART, and 7-channel ADC, plus compatibility with the entire Seeed Grove sensor ecosystem, the XIAO ESP32C6 supports ESPHome, Arduino, MicroPython, CircuitPython, and ESP-IDF for maximum firmware flexibility.
