Overview

The UkieLab WiFi Weather Station 7.5" is a consumer-ready smart weather display featuring a large 7.5-inch e-paper (e-ink) screen that shows current weather conditions, humidity, barometric pressure, and a 4-day weather forecast. Weather data is sourced from the Apple Weather API and automatically refreshed every 30 minutes, ensuring up-to-date information with minimal power consumption.

The e-ink display technology means the screen retains its content without consuming any power between refreshes, making it ideal for the battery-powered version which can operate for months on a single charge from its built-in 3000mAh battery. The device connects to your home WiFi network (2.4GHz) during each update cycle to fetch fresh weather data, then returns to deep sleep.

The station includes a magnetic detachable stand with strong neodymium magnets, making it equally suitable for desk placement or mounting on a refrigerator. Temperature can be displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. An optional CO2 sensor module is available that adds indoor air quality monitoring, measuring carbon dioxide levels (ppm) along with temperature and humidity — useful for bedrooms, home offices, and poorly ventilated spaces.

UkieLab, based in Watchung, NJ, also produces a WiFi e-ink calendar and Meshtastic devices, demonstrating their expertise with ESP32-based connected display products.
