## Description

## Overview

The LILYGO T-Halow pairs the ESP32-S3 with a WiFi HaLow (IEEE 802.11ah) sub-GHz radio module, enabling long-range wireless connectivity that can reach several kilometers — far exceeding standard 2.4 GHz WiFi range. HaLow operates in the 900 MHz band (variants available for 920 MHz, 875 MHz, and 915 MHz regional frequencies) with excellent wall and obstacle penetration.

The board retains the ESP32-S3's standard 2.4 GHz WiFi and BLE 5.0 for local connectivity, while the HaLow module handles long-distance links. This dual-radio architecture is ideal for agricultural sensor networks, smart building backbone links, and industrial IoT deployments where sensors are distributed over large areas.

Hardware features include a microSD card slot for local data buffering, 18650 battery support for off-grid deployment, and U.FL antenna connectors for external antennas. Available in three sub-GHz frequency variants to comply with regional radio regulations.
