## Description

## Overview

The LILYGO T-ETH-Lite is a compact development board that combines the powerful ESP32-S3 with wired Ethernet connectivity via a W5500 SPI Ethernet controller. This combination makes it ideal for IoT edge nodes and Home Assistant integrations where WiFi reliability is a concern.

The board supports multiple configurations: an ESP32-S3 variant with W5500 SPI Ethernet, and an older ESP32 variant with RTL8201 RMII Ethernet. Both variants feature 16MB flash, 8MB PSRAM, a microSD card slot, and boot/reset buttons. An optional PoE shield provides power-over-Ethernet capability, and a camera shield adds an OV2640 image sensor for vision applications.

ESPHome support makes it straightforward to integrate into Home Assistant, while the W5500's hardwired TCP/IP stack offloads networking overhead from the ESP32-S3, enabling reliable high-throughput applications.
