Measuring just 20.4 x 20.4 x 3mm with a weight of only 2g, it is designed for direct SMT integration into custom PCBs via its 1.27mm stamp-edge castellated pads. The module supports LoRaWAN 1.0.2 protocol with a maximum transmit power of +21dBm and receiving sensitivity down to -135dBm, enabling communication ranges of up to 10+ miles in rural line-of-sight conditions. With a deep sleep current consumption of just 3.5uA, it is purpose-built for battery-powered field deployments where devices must operate for months or years on a single charge. The AM02 offers 16 general-purpose GPIO pins, 3 channels of 12-bit ADC, two UART interfaces, SPI, I2C, PWM outputs, and an 8-channel DMA engine.
