## Description

## Overview

The Adafruit QT Py ESP32-S2 packs Espressif's single-core 240 MHz ESP32-S2 into the tiny QT Py / Seeed XIAO footprint at 21.8 × 17.9 mm. Four megabytes of Flash and 2 MB of PSRAM give comfortable room for CircuitPython applications, while the 10 × 12-bit ADC inputs make it one of the most analog-capable boards in this size class.

Native USB-C means the board shows up as a serial device, keyboard, mouse, MIDI controller, or mass-storage drive without any additional driver chip. The STEMMA QT connector enables chain-able I2C sensor connections in seconds, and all 11 breakout GPIO pins plus the 2 QT pads support capacitive touch via CircuitPython's `touchio` module.

The hardware features an 8-bit DAC on two pins (A0/A1), hardware I2S on any pin pair, and PWM on any output. A NeoPixel with a controllable power pin and a Reset/Boot button pair complete the user interface. The 3.3 V 600 mA regulator supports external sensor loads.

Note that the ESP32-S2 has no Bluetooth capability — for BLE projects in this form factor, Adafruit offers the QT Py ESP32-C3 or QT Py ESP32-S3. WiFi-only nodes that benefit from native USB and extra ADC inputs are the sweet spot for the ESP32-S2 variant.
