## Overview

The Heltec MeshPocket is a uniquely designed device that combines a Qi2 magnetic wireless charging power bank with a fully functional Meshtastic mesh communication node. It integrates a Nordic nRF52840 MCU for Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and a Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver capable of reaching up to 10km range, all while serving as an everyday portable charger for your phone and other devices.

The device features a 2.13-inch monochrome e-ink display that provides clear visibility in direct sunlight while consuming virtually zero power between refreshes — a significant advantage over OLED-based mesh nodes. Community testing shows the MeshPocket can operate for up to a week between charges when used primarily for Meshtastic mesh networking, thanks to the ultra-low-power nRF52840 platform and e-ink technology.

MeshPocket ships preloaded with Meshtastic firmware and supports over-the-air updates via the Meshtastic web flasher. For developers, custom firmware can be flashed through the side-mounted magnetic pogo pin interface by entering DFU mode with a double-press of the RST button. The device pairs with your phone via Bluetooth for message composition and GPS location sharing through the Meshtastic app, making it a true plug-and-play off-grid communication solution that you carry as your daily power bank.
