## Description

## Overview

The DFRobot FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 (N4) (SKU: DFR1145) is a compact IoT development board featuring the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N4 module. Powered by the Xtensa LX7 dual-core processor at 240MHz with hardware AI acceleration, it offers a significant upgrade over the ESP32-E variant with native USB 2.0 OTG support, more GPIO pins, and BLE 5.0.

The board exposes 26 digital I/O pins with extensive peripheral multiplexing: 20 ADC channels across two 12-bit SAR ADCs, 3 UARTs, 2 SPI, 2 I2C, 2 I2S, 8 LED PWM channels, and 5+5 IR transceiver channels. The USB 2.0 OTG full-speed interface via USB-C enables the board to act as both USB host and device, opening possibilities for HID devices, USB MIDI, and other USB-native applications. A GDI display interface connector allows quick attachment of compatible displays without wiring.

Power management includes integrated lithium battery charging via the PH2.0 connector (3.7V Li-ion), 5V USB-C input, and a hardware power on/off switch. The stamp-hole edge pads allow direct soldering onto custom PCBs for production deployment. At $9.90, it provides a cost-effective ESP32-S3 platform for IoT, AIoT, and general embedded projects where a camera is not needed.
