It uses a w.FL (also known as MHF3 or IPEX3) connector — note this is NOT u.FL; adapters are required for SMA or u.FL antennas. The 8 MB flash variant ships without PSRAM, optimized for firmware-heavy applications where CircuitPython is less suited. The ESP32-S3 provides dual Tensilica cores at 240 MHz, native USB for programming and HID/CDC device emulation, 512 KB SRAM, and Wi-Fi 4 + BLE connectivity. The w.FL connector replaces the PCB antenna found on other S3 Feather variants, enabling extended range or placement within enclosures. A MAX17048 fuel-gauge IC monitors the LiPo battery charge state accurately over I2C. Standard Adafruit Feather accessories are included: USB Type-C for power and native USB communication, a 200 mA+ LiPo charger, 3.3V LDO, a status NeoPixel with pin-controlled power, STEMMA QT I2C connector with switchable power, on/charge/user LEDs, Reset and DFU/BOOT0 buttons, and ~100 µA deep sleep.
