Overview

The VisionFive2 Lite is a compact RISC-V single board computer built around the StarFive JH7110S SoC, featuring four 64-bit RISC-V cores running at up to 1.25GHz with a dedicated 64-bit monitoring core and a 32-bit real-time core. The Imagination BXE-4-32 MC1 GPU at 400MHz provides hardware-accelerated graphics with OpenGL ES and Vulkan support, while the integrated video codec handles 4K@60fps decoding and 1080p@30fps encoding.

Measuring just 56 x 85mm, the Lite variant integrates onboard WiFi 6 (802.11ax dual-band 2.4/5.8GHz) and Bluetooth 5.4, which the original VisionFive2 lacked. Connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0 output (4K@30fps or 2K@60fps), a 2-lane MIPI DSI display interface, a 2-lane MIPI CSI camera port, three USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port (shared with PCIe 2.0), and a USB-C port for power delivery. An M.2 M-Key 2242 slot supports NVMe SSDs for fast storage expansion.

The 40-pin GPIO header provides access to CAN bus, DMIC, I2C, I2S, PWM, SPI, and UART interfaces. Available with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4 RAM (up to 2800 Mbps) and optional 64GB eMMC, the VisionFive2 Lite supports multiple Linux distributions including Debian, Fedora, OpenWrt, Buildroot, and CasaOS. It serves as an accessible RISC-V development platform while being practical for home server, NAS, router, and IoT gateway applications.
