## Description

## Overview

The ProS3 by Unexpected Maker is positioned as the most capable ESP32-S3 development board in their lineup. Packing 16 MB of QSPI Flash and 8 MB of QSPI PSRAM, dual 700 mA 3.3 V LDO regulators, 27 GPIO pins (including castellated headers), and a STEMMA connector, the ProS3 is designed for demanding IoT applications that outgrow smaller Feather or Tiny-format boards.

The ESP32-S3's native USB and USB Serial JTAG share the USB-C port, enabling both drag-and-drop UF2 firmware updates and JTAG-level debugging from the same connector. USB ESD protection guards against static discharge from repeated plugging. VBAT and 5 V sense pins let firmware monitor power supply conditions without additional components.

LiPo battery support includes a PicoBlade connector, onboard charging circuit, and power and charge indicator LEDs. A low-power RGB LED, a 3D high-gain antenna, and an ultra-low deep sleep current complete the power-management feature set. Both WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 with BLE and Mesh are provided natively.

CircuitPython ships pre-loaded with a UF2 bootloader. Arduino 2.0.3+, MicroPython, and ESP-IDF are all supported. The castellated headers make the ProS3 suitable for embedding into custom carrier boards in production designs while still being usable as a standalone dev board during prototyping.
