Overview
The Netduino 3 WiFi is the wireless-enabled member of the Netduino 3 family, built around the STM32F427VI ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller running at 168MHz. With 1408KB of code storage and 164KB+ of RAM, it handles complex embedded tasks while staying accessible to C# developers through the .NET Micro Framework.
WiFi connectivity with WPA2 and SSL/TLS 1.2 support enables secure cloud communication without external shields. The board maintains Arduino shield compatibility (most shields are supported) and adds three GOBUS ports for connecting Netduino peripherals. A microSD slot supports up to 2GB for local data storage or logging.
Power is accepted via USB (for development) or a 7.5–12VDC input for standalone deployment, with regulated 5V and 3.3V outputs available for shields. The operating temperature range of 0–70°C suits indoor commercial deployments. Six 12-bit ADC channels and a full Arduino R3 pinout make it easy to integrate analog sensors alongside networked functionality.
