## Description

## Overview

The Netduino 3 is the base model of the third-generation Netduino platform, powered by the STM32F427VG ARM Cortex-M4F processor at 168MHz — a substantial step up from the 8-bit AVR processors in classic Arduino boards. With 1408KB of flash and 164KB+ of RAM, it handles multithreaded embedded applications written in C# via the .NET Micro Framework.

The board maintains Arduino shield compatibility for most shields, while adding three GOBUS ports for daisy-chaining Netduino peripherals. It accepts power from USB (for development) or a 7.5–12VDC input, providing regulated 5V and 3.3V outputs for connected shields. Six 12-bit ADC channels support precise analog sensor readings.

Unlike the Netduino 3 Ethernet and Netduino 3 WiFi variants, this base model has no built-in wireless connectivity — making it ideal for local control applications or projects where connectivity is handled by a connected shield. Schematics are available and it runs in the 0–70°C commercial temperature range.
