Overview
The Netduino 3 Ethernet is the wired-networking member of the Netduino 3 family, combining the STM32F427VI ARM Cortex-M4F processor at 168MHz with a built-in Ethernet jack and full TCP/IP stack. With 1408KB of flash and 164KB+ of RAM, it is the most capable Netduino platform for network-connected applications requiring reliable wired connectivity.
The board supports most Arduino shields with an R3-compatible pinout, and features three GOBUS ports for Netduino peripheral expansion. A microSD slot (supporting up to 2GB) enables local data logging alongside network operations. Power is accepted via USB or a 7.5–12VDC DC input, with regulated 5V and 3.3V rails for shields.
Six 12-bit ADC channels provide precise analog sensor measurement, and the .NET Micro Framework enables C# programming with multi-threading and line-by-line Visual Studio debugging. The Netduino 3 Ethernet is positioned between the base Netduino 3 and the WiFi variant — offering the reliability of wired Ethernet at a mid-range price point.
