The Heltec HT-HC32 is a development board combining an ESP32-S3R8 microcontroller with a Wi-Fi HaLow (IEEE 802.11ah) module (HT-HC01) and an integrated 200-pixel wide-angle camera. Wi-Fi HaLow operates on sub-1 GHz frequencies, enabling long-range wireless communication over 1-2 km with data rates up to 32 Mbps — far exceeding traditional 2.4 GHz WiFi range.
The board also includes standard 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth via an onboard patch antenna, making it a versatile platform for remote camera monitoring, IoT gateways, and smart city applications.
