## Description

## Overview

The Flipper Zero is a portable multi-tool designed for interacting with access control systems, radio protocols, and digital hardware. Built around the STM32WB55RG dual-core wireless MCU, it packs a Sub-GHz transceiver (CC1101) covering 315/433/868/915 MHz, an NFC reader (ST25R3916) supporting ISO-14443A/B, MIFARE, DESFire, FeliCa, and HID iClass, a 125kHz RFID reader for EM4100, HID, Indala, and AWID cards, infrared TX/RX for capturing and replaying remote control signals, and an iButton 1-Wire interface for Dallas, CYFRAL, and Metakom contact keys. A 13-pin GPIO header with 3.3V CMOS logic (5V tolerant) allows connecting external modules and debugging hardware over SPI, I2C, and UART.

The device ships with fully open-source firmware under the GPL-3.0 license, and circuit schematics are published as educational PDFs. A thriving community has produced several alternative firmware builds including Momentum (the successor to Xtreme), Unleashed (focused on removing regional restrictions for RF research), and RogueMaster (a comprehensive fork merging features from multiple firmwares with extra apps and animations). The official Flipper app catalog and community repositories offer hundreds of additional applications ranging from BadUSB scripts to signal analyzers.

Powered by a 2100mAh LiPo battery lasting up to 28 days on standby, the Flipper Zero features a 1.4-inch 128x64 monochrome LCD driven by an ST7567 controller, a directional pad with a center button, USB-C 2.0 for charging and data, and a microSD slot supporting up to 256GB for storing captured signals, databases, and apps. An 87dB buzzer and vibration motor provide tactile and audible feedback. The device has earned FCC, CE, and IC certifications for its radio transmitters.
