It pairs the SAMD21 ARM Cortex-M0+ at 48MHz with a Murata CMWX1ZZABZ LoRa module (based on the Semtech SX1276) for communication distances up to 10+ kilometers in rural areas and several kilometers in urban environments.

A standout feature is its ultra-low power consumption — just 104µA in sleep mode when properly configured, making it ideal for battery-powered field deployments lasting months or years. The 2MB onboard SPI flash stores sensor data for logging and OTA firmware updates, while the ECC508 crypto chip provides hardware-secured LoRaWAN authentication.
