Overview

The ESP32-S3-BOX-3B is the complete bundle version of the ESP32-S3-BOX-3 AIoT development kit, adding the official DOCK stand accessory, an RGB LED module, a USB-C power cable, and Dupont wires to the core module. The underlying hardware is identical to the BOX-3: ESP32-S3 dual-core Xtensa LX7 at 240 MHz, 16 MB Quad flash, 16 MB Octal PSRAM, 2.4-inch 320×240 SPI touchscreen, two digital MEMS microphones, and a built-in speaker.

The BOX-3B bundle is ideal for getting started immediately without sourcing accessories separately. The DOCK stand provides a stable angled base for desktop use, while the included RGB LED module connects through the high-density PCIe expansion connector for hands-on GPIO experimentation. The Dupont wires further enable prototyping with external sensors.

All features of the BOX-3 are present: offline voice recognition via ESP-SR (200+ commands), far-field wake-word detection, ChatGPT integration, LVGL GUI, Matter-over-Wi-Fi/Thread support, ESP RainMaker cloud control, and a fully open-source hardware and firmware stack. The CE certification PDF is available via the Adafruit product page. The BOX-3B costs slightly less than the BOX-3 standalone as a promotional bundle.
