## Description

## Overview

The TI SK-TDA4VM is Texas Instruments' evaluation platform for the TDA4VM processor, a flagship automotive-grade SoC from TI's Jacinto 7 family. The SoC integrates dual Arm Cortex-A72 application cores, six Cortex-R5F real-time cores, C7x DSP, and an 8 TOPS Matrix Multiplication Accelerator (MMA), all in a single chip designed for ISO 26262 functional safety compliance in ADAS and autonomous driving systems.

The board includes 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a microSD slot for OS and data storage, and Gigabit Ethernet. A USB-C port provides connectivity and programming access. The board is powered by a 12V DC supply appropriate for its automotive application context. Multiple camera interface connectors (FPD-Link III deserializers) allow connecting automotive-grade cameras for real-world ADAS pipeline prototyping.

Armbian enables a mainline Linux environment on the SK-TDA4VM, making it accessible to embedded Linux developers who want to explore TI's automotive AI stack outside of a traditional RTOS environment. The combination of heterogeneous compute — general-purpose A72, real-time R5F, and dedicated AI/vision accelerators — makes this board a powerful platform for researchers and engineers developing next-generation driver assistance systems.
