## Description

## Overview

The TI SK-AM62-LP (Starter Kit for AM62x, Low Power) is an evaluation board from Texas Instruments for the AM62x Sitara processor family. The AM62x integrates quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 cores alongside a Cortex-R5F real-time MCU and Cortex-M4F for low-power wakeup tasks, making it ideally suited for industrial HMI panels, IoT gateways, and edge controller applications requiring long battery or solar operation.

The LP variant is specifically tuned for power efficiency, featuring 1GB LPDDR4 RAM, a microSD card boot slot, 100Mbps Ethernet, and USB-C connectivity. The entire board is powered via a 5V USB-C connector, simplifying bench evaluation and field deployment. Dual-display capability via HDMI and LVDS at up to 2K resolution makes it capable of driving industrial touchscreens.

Armbian provides kernel 6.12 images for the SK-AM62-LP, enabling standard Debian and Ubuntu desktop and server configurations. TI's open SDK and Armbian together make this a well-supported platform for evaluating AM62x for production designs.
