## Description

## Overview

The TI SK-AM62B is an evaluation and development platform built around Texas Instruments' AM62x Sitara processor, featuring two Arm Cortex-A53 cores running at up to 1.4 GHz. Designed by TI as an entry-level industrial starter kit, it gives engineers a ready-to-run hardware platform for exploring the AM62x family in HMI, industrial IoT, and gateway applications.

The board ships with 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a microSD card slot for storage and OS booting, and Gigabit Ethernet for reliable network connectivity. Peripheral connectivity includes USB-C and USB 3.0 ports, along with expansion headers for prototyping. Power is supplied via a 5V USB-C connector, making it straightforward to bench-power during development.

Armbian supports the SK-AM62B with a mainline Linux image, enabling developers to work with a familiar Debian-based environment. The board is well-suited for industrial automation prototyping, human-machine interface development, and evaluating TI's Sitara processor line before committing to a custom PCB design.
