## Description

## Overview

The M5Stack Atom Lite is one of the smallest ESP32 development boards available, measuring just 24 × 24 × 9.5mm and weighing only 5.5g. Built around the ESP32-PICO-D4 system-in-package with a dual-core Xtensa LX6 processor running at 240MHz, it packs WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity into a tiny form factor ideal for embedded IoT applications.

Despite its miniature size, the Atom Lite includes a programmable button on the front face, an SK6812 RGB LED for status indication, and a built-in infrared transmitter. The bottom exposes 6 GPIO pins (G19, G21, G22, G23, G25, G33) along with a Grove/HY2.0 port supporting I2C, UART, and general I/O — making it easy to connect sensors, actuators, and M5Stack expansion units.

Programming is supported through Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, UIFlow (visual block programming and MicroPython), and PlatformIO. The USB-C port handles both programming and 5V power delivery.

The Atom Lite is well suited for space-constrained IoT deployments, smart home automation nodes, sensor hubs, IR remote control projects, and wearable prototypes where minimal footprint is critical.
