Overview

The Heltec HT-M7603 is a compact, wall-mountable indoor LoRaWAN gateway designed for cost-effective IoT network deployment. Built around the MediaTek MT7628 MIPS SoC and the Semtech SX1303 + SX1250 LoRa concentrator chipset, it provides 8 simultaneous uplink channels with spreading factors SF5 through SF12, achieving receive sensitivity down to -139 dBm at SF12/125kHz and transmit power up to +27 dBm.

The gateway connects to IP networks via either WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) or 10/100 Ethernet, and supports standard LoRaWAN protocol 1.0.2 (Class A and Class C) as well as custom MQTT for private network deployments. Configuration is handled through an intuitive web interface accessible over the device's built-in WiFi hotspot, making setup straightforward without requiring terminal access.

The HT-M7603 is well-suited as a primary indoor gateway for small to medium LoRa deployments or as a blind-fill gateway to extend coverage in larger installations. It supports major LoRaWAN network servers including The Things Network (TTN/TTS), ChirpStack, and Heltec's own SnapEmu IoT platform, with configurable frequency plans covering 470-510 MHz, 863-870 MHz, and 902-923 MHz bands.
