## Description

## Overview

The ESP32-C6-DevKitC-1 is Espressif's official entry-level development board for the ESP32-C6 SoC. It integrates WiFi 6 (802.11ax, 2.4GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, and IEEE 802.15.4 — enabling Thread 1.3, Zigbee 3.0, and Matter support on a single RISC-V chip.

The board exposes all 22 GPIO pins on breadboard-compatible headers (J1 and J3), includes a native USB-C port (up to 12 Mbps) for direct communication and programming, and a separate USB-C to UART bridge for flashing and serial monitoring. An addressable RGB LED on GPIO8, Boot and Reset buttons, and a J5 current measurement header round out the hardware features.

With 8MB of SPI flash, hardware crypto acceleration, and native Matter/Thread/Zigbee support in ESP-IDF, this board is the go-to reference platform for Matter end-device development, Zigbee sensor nodes, and Thread mesh nodes.
