## Description

## Overview

The DFRobot FireBeetle 328P BLE 4.1 (SKU: DFR0492) combines the familiar ATmega328P microcontroller with a Dialog BLE 4.1 chip to create a low-power, Bluetooth-enabled Arduino board. Running at 3.3V and 8MHz, it is compatible with the Arduino Pro/Pro Mini bootloader and programming environment, making it an easy choice for developers who want to add BLE connectivity to Arduino projects.

The Dialog BLE 4.1 chip supports both central and peripheral modes with multi-device cascading of up to 4 devices and a maximum data throughput of 4 KB/s. A standout feature is peer-to-peer wireless programming via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for a physical USB connection during development. The "KISS connection" feature enables automatic pairing when devices are brought into close proximity.

Power efficiency is a key design goal -- the board achieves 25 microamps in power-down mode and 70 microamps with active interrupt monitoring. Dual interrupt wakeup via D2 and D3 pins allows the board to sleep until triggered by external events. The onboard lithium battery charging circuit supports 3.7V Li-ion cells with up to 400mA charge current and 600mA LDO output, making it well-suited for battery-powered wearables, beacons, and IoT sensor nodes.
