## Description

## Overview

The Adafruit Feather nRF52 Pro with Mynewt Bootloader is a Bluetooth Low Energy development board powered by Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52832 SoC — an ARM Cortex M4F core at 64 MHz with 512 KB of flash and 64 KB of SRAM. It is designed specifically for developers who need a fully open-source BLE 5.0 stack and prefer working with Apache Mynewt RTOS rather than proprietary SDKs.

Unlike the standard nRF52 Feather which supports Arduino IDE and CircuitPython, this Pro variant ships pre-programmed with the Mynewt serial bootloader and is intended for advanced projects requiring the full open-source Apache Mynewt ecosystem. The board includes a SWD (Serial Wire Debug) connector for hardware debugging and a DFU button for firmware update operations, making it well-suited for production firmware development workflows.

The nRF52832 chip provides up to 19 GPIO pins, 8-channel 12-bit ADC, up to 12 PWM outputs across three modules, and full support for BLE 5.0 features including extended advertising, coded PHY for long-range communication, and 2M PHY for high-throughput data transfer. Transmit power reaches +4 dBm maximum. The board includes USB serial via an onboard converter and a JST connector for a 3.7V LiPo battery with built-in charging circuitry.

The Feather nRF52 Pro follows the standard Adafruit Feather form factor with four mounting holes, enabling it to accept the broad ecosystem of Feather Wings while maintaining a compact 50.8mm × 23mm footprint weighing just 5.5g.
