## Description

## Overview

The Pycom Pysense is a multi-sensor expansion board designed for use with Pycom wireless development modules including the LoPy, GPy, WiPy 2, WiPy 3, and FiPy. It provides a rich set of environmental sensors on a single compact board, transforming any Pycom module into a complete IoT environmental monitoring node.

The sensor suite includes an ambient light sensor, barometric pressure sensor, humidity sensor, temperature sensor, and a 3-axis 12-bit accelerometer. This combination enables a wide range of applications: weather stations, indoor air quality monitors, smart agriculture sensors, industrial environmental tracking, and logistics condition monitoring. All sensor data is accessible via MicroPython using Pycom's sensor libraries.

Like the Pytrack sibling board, the Pysense features an integrated LiPo battery charger and ultra-low deep sleep power consumption of approximately 1 µA, making it ideal for battery-powered deployments in remote locations. A USB serial port provides connectivity for programming and debugging without requiring additional hardware.

The board attaches underneath a compatible Pycom module and provides five additional GPIO header pins plus a MicroSD card slot for data logging. The Pysense became widely used in environmental monitoring networks and educational IoT projects for its all-in-one sensor integration with minimal external components required.
