## Description

## Overview

The MKS KLIPAD50 is a dedicated 3D printer control panel developed by MKS/Makerbase, integrating a 5-inch 800×480 IPS touchscreen with a Linux SBC capable of running Klipper's KlipperScreen interface. The board is powered by an Allwinner H616 quad-core Cortex-A53 SoC, making it more capable than typical RTOS-based printer screens and allowing it to handle full Moonraker and Mainsail/Fluidd web interfaces locally.

Storage options include 1GB or 2GB DDR3 RAM with 8GB or 16GB eMMC for the OS and Klipper installation. The panel connects to the printer's host over USB or can serve as a standalone Klipper host via WiFi (802.11n). A microSD card slot is available for image flashing and additional storage. Power is provided through a USB-C connector at 5V.

Armbian provides Linux support for the KLIPAD50, enabling community-built Klipper distributions and custom firmware builds. The device has become popular in the open 3D printing community as an affordable all-in-one Klipper screen and host.
