## Description

## Overview

The Banana Pi M7 is SinoVoip's flagship single-board computer, powered by the Rockchip RK3588 octa-core SoC featuring four Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores, paired with a Mali-G610 GPU and a 6 TOPS NPU for AI inference tasks. Available with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of LPDDR4X memory, it targets demanding workloads including media transcoding, NAS, edge AI, and desktop Linux use.

Storage flexibility is excellent: the board accommodates both eMMC and an M.2 NVMe SSD slot, plus a microSD card socket. Networking is provided by dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports — ideal for software-defined router or home lab gateway builds. Integrated WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 handle wireless connectivity. Video output includes HDMI 2.1 for 8K displays and a USB-C DisplayPort alternate mode.

Power input is via USB-C PD supporting a wide 5V–20V range, making it flexible for various supply options. Armbian provides both mainline and vendor kernel images including Gnome, KDE Neon desktop builds and minimal/IOT images, with solid community support for the RK3588 platform.
