Overview

The Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2 is a Z-Wave USB stick designed by Nabu Casa specifically for Home Assistant. Built on the Silicon Labs EFR32ZG23 chipset (Z-Wave 700 series), it provides reliable Z-Wave coordination with support for Z-Wave Long Range.

Getting Started

1. Plug the ZWA-2 into your Home Assistant host (or use a USB extension cable for better signal)
2. Home Assistant will auto-detect the stick and prompt you to set up Z-Wave JS
3. Start adding Z-Wave devices using SmartStart QR codes or manual inclusion

• For best range, use a USB extension cable to position the stick away from the host computer
• Supports firmware updates through Home Assistant
• Successor to the original ZWA-1 (Aeotec Z-Stick 7 rebrand)
