## Overview

The CompuLab IOT-GATE-IMX8PLUS is a modular industrial IoT edge gateway built around the NXP i.MX8M Plus quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.8GHz with up to 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and up to 128GB eMMC storage. Designed for demanding industrial environments, it combines compute power with extensive I/O in a rugged enclosure.

Connectivity includes dual Gigabit Ethernet (one with optional PoE 802.3af), WiFi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 5.0, and optional 4G LTE modem with global band support. Industrial I/O features up to 3x RS485/RS232 serial ports, digital I/O, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 host ports, and a mini-PCIe socket for additional expansion.

The integrated 2 TOPS NPU enables on-device AI inference, while TPM 2.0 provides hardware-based security. Running Yocto Linux or Debian with Docker, Azure IoT, Node-RED, and Mender OTA support, the IOT-GATE-IMX8PLUS targets factory automation, building management, energy monitoring, and smart city infrastructure. CompuLab backs it with a 5-year warranty and 15-year availability commitment.
