The CompuLab IOT-DIN-IMX8PLUS is a modular DIN-rail mountable IoT edge gateway designed for industrial automation and building management. Built around the NXP i.MX8M Plus quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.8GHz with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB eMMC, it provides the computing foundation for edge applications in factory, energy, and infrastructure environments.
What makes the IOT-DIN unique is its stackable I/O expansion system. Starting with built-in dual LAN, USB 3.0, TPM 2.0, RS485, RS232, CAN bus, and 2x DI + 2x DO, you can add expansion modules for up to 12x RS485/RS232 serial ports, 32x digital inputs + 32x digital outputs, 8-channel ADC, and WiFi 6 + Bluetooth 5.3. An optional 4G LTE modem provides cellular connectivity.
Running Yocto or Debian with Docker, Azure IoT, Node-RED, Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT, and Mender OTA support, the gateway bridges field devices to cloud platforms. Available in commercial (0-50°C) and industrial (-30°C to 70°C) temperature ratings with a 5-year warranty and 15-year availability commitment.
