The BigTreeTech Panda PWR is a smart power management module built around the ESP8684-MINI-1-H4 MCU (RISC-V single-core, 272KB RAM, 4MB flash). It provides intelligent control over 3D printer power, with features including remote on/off via LAN web UI, power consumption monitoring, countdown auto-shutdown, and OTA firmware updates.
The module has two USB output ports: USB1 tracks the printer's running state for synchronized accessory control (e.g., lights follow printer status), while USB2 provides continuous 5V power delivery. It can operate standalone or in conjunction with the Panda Touch display for a seamless smart-printer experience. A Home Assistant community integration is also available for smart home automation.
The Panda PWR connects inline with mains power (220VAC input) for full printer power control, making it practical for automated shutdown after print completion to save energy and prevent fire risk. Full API documentation and firmware source are available in the GitHub repository.
