Overview

This project creates a standalone weather station using the LILYGO T5 4.7-inch e-paper display. The firmware fetches real-time weather data from the OpenWeatherMap API and renders current conditions, temperature, humidity, and forecasts on the e-ink screen. The low-power display retains the weather information between updates, making it ideal for battery-powered operation.

Optional MQTT/Mosquitto integration allows the weather station to also pull data from Home Assistant, combining cloud weather data with local sensor readings. The project uses the LilyGo-EPD47 and ArduinoJson libraries, and requires only WiFi credentials, an OpenWeatherMap API key, and your location coordinates to get started.
