Overview
The NanoPi R6S is a powerful network-focused SBC built around the Rockchip RK3588S. With 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 32GB eMMC, three Ethernet ports (one native Gigabit + two PCIe 2.5 Gigabit via RTL8125BG), and an 8-core CPU, it's one of the most capable router/gateway boards available.
The RK3588S provides four Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8GHz with a 6 TOPS NPU for AI acceleration. An HDMI 2.1 output supports up to 8K@60Hz, making it usable as a media center alongside its routing duties. USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports enable NAS configurations with external storage.
Running FriendlyWrt (OpenWrt), Ubuntu, Debian, Android 14, or Proxmox VE, the R6S excels as a high-throughput router/firewall, virtualization host, or edge computing node. USB-C PD power input supports 5V/9V/12V/20V for flexible deployment.
