## Description

## Overview

The NanoPi R5S-LTS is FriendlyElec's long-term support router board built on the Rockchip RK3568B2 with four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. It provides three Ethernet ports — one native Gigabit and two PCIe 2.5 Gigabit via RTL8125BG — offering significant throughput improvement over the R4S generation.

With up to 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 32GB eMMC, an M.2 PCIe 2.0 slot for NVMe or WiFi, two USB 3.0 ports, and HDMI 4K output, the R5S-LTS serves as both a high-performance router and a capable home server. The 0.8 TOPS NPU enables lightweight AI inference tasks.

The LTS designation ensures long-term kernel and firmware support from FriendlyElec. Running FriendlyWrt (OpenWrt), Ubuntu, Debian, or Alpine Linux, it's ideal as a VPN gateway, firewall, NAS controller, or home automation hub.
