Orange Pi 4 LTS

Overview

The Orange Pi 4 LTS is Xunlong's long-term support revision of the Orange Pi 4, powered by the Rockchip RK3399 hexa-core SoC. The RK3399 pairs two high-performance Cortex-A72 cores with four Cortex-A53 efficiency cores, delivering strong single-threaded and multi-threaded performance for a maker board of its class. The board ships with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 16GB eMMC storage as standard, providing a complete out-of-the-box storage solution alongside microSD expansion.

Connectivity is well-rounded: a Gigabit Ethernet port achieves near-wire-speed throughput (~960 Mbps), and the integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module handles wireless connectivity without requiring an add-on card. USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports cover peripheral attachment, while a USB-C port serves as the power input. Additional interfaces include I2C, SPI, PCIe, and a 40-pin GPIO header for hardware expansion.

Armbian provides standard support for the Orange Pi 4 LTS, with Ubuntu Noble and Debian Trixie images available and community-verified working features including Docker, WireGuard, and audio codec output. The "LTS" designation reflects Xunlong's commitment to long-term hardware availability, making this board a dependable foundation for production embedded Linux projects.
