T-Embed Application Shell
An LVGL-based application framework for the LILYGO T-Embed showcasing WiFi scanning, BLE device discovery, SD card browsing, RGB LED control, and deep sleep via rotary encoder.
Overview
The T-Embed Application Shell is an open-source framework for the LILYGO T-Embed ESP32-S3 that demonstrates every major hardware feature of the board in a cohesive, navigable UI built with LVGL. The author describes it as "a toolkit of parts to be repurposed into your own application," and the Apache 2.0 license makes it straightforward to use as a starting point.
Included Applications
The shell provides eight built-in modules: a main menu showing IP address, time, and date; a WiFi scanning and connection interface with on-device SSID/password entry via the rotary encoder; WiFi SmartConfig via smartphone; SD card file browser; RGB color test; Bluetooth BLE device scanner; and deep sleep with knob-wake. All navigation is handled through the T-Embed's rotary encoder and push button.
Build Details
Built with ESP-IDF v5.0 and LVGL on top, written entirely in C. The repository has 33 stars and is actively maintained. It covers the T-Embed's LCD, LED strip, SD slot, WiFi, BLE, and encoder in a single project — making it the most comprehensive T-Embed firmware showcase available in the community.
