Overview

The Banana Pi M4 Zero is SinoVoip's compact Zero-form-factor single-board computer, powered by the Rockchip RK3528 quad-core Cortex-A53 SoC at 2.0 GHz with a Mali-450 GPU and 4K H.265 hardware video decode. It is available in 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB DDR4 configurations with 8GB or 16GB eMMC storage, plus a microSD card slot. Despite its small footprint, it supports 4K HDMI output, making it suitable as a compact media player.

Built-in dual-band 802.11ac (WiFi 5) and Bluetooth 5.0 provide wireless connectivity, while 100 Mbps Ethernet handles wired connections. USB connectivity is handled by a USB-C OTG port and a USB 2.0 host port. Power input is via a USB-C connector at 5V, compatible with standard phone chargers. A 26-pin GPIO header provides basic embedded interfacing for sensors and peripherals.

The Zero form factor makes the M4 Zero ideal for space-constrained deployments, embedded systems, and projects requiring a small but capable Linux computer. Armbian provides standard kernel support, and the RK3528 platform benefits from active community development for media and IoT applications.
