Overview
This project uses ESPHome to drive a LILYGO T5 4.7-inch e-paper display as a wall-mounted weather information center. Connected to Home Assistant, it renders a rich weather dashboard featuring a 4-day forecast overview with weather icons, a 24-hour precipitation forecast bar chart, current temperature and humidity readings, and a real-time clock display.
The ESPHome YAML configuration handles all display rendering natively, pulling weather data from Home Assistant's weather integration (compatible with WeatherFlow and other weather providers). The e-paper display's ultra-low power consumption makes it ideal for always-on wall-mounted installations, and the content persists even during WiFi outages since e-ink retains its image without power.
