Weather-Tiny — Pocket Weather Station on T5 V2.3.1
A compact 3D-printed weather station with multi-location support and hardware buttons built around the LILYGO T5 V2.3.1 ESP32 with 2.13" e-ink display, running on a LiPo battery.
Overview
Weather-Tiny is a compact, battery-powered weather station built around the LILYGO TTGO T5 V2.3.1 ESP32 board with 2.13-inch e-ink display. The project includes a 3D-printed enclosure (STL files included), hardware buttons for switching between locations and triggering refreshes, and a DIY reset button mod.
After power-on, the device validates its configuration and displays weather data for the selected location. Three tactile buttons control location switching (top-left), manual refresh (top-right), and device reset (bottom). A top slide switch turns the device on/off.
Features
- Multi-location weather display with button navigation
- Current conditions, temperature, humidity, wind speed
- 3D-printed enclosure (STL included in repo)
- LiPo battery connection with on/off slide switch
- DIY reset button mod (pull-down resistor + tactile button on GPIO 34)
- Arduino / PlatformIO build
- GPL2 open-source license
Hardware
- LILYGO T5 V2.3.1 (ESP32 + 2.13" e-ink GDEM0213B74)
- LiPo cell (fits in 3D-printed case)
- 2× tactile buttons + 1× slide switch
- 10 kΩ pull-down resistor for reset button mod
Build
Compile with Arduino IDE or PlatformIO. Configure your WiFi credentials and weather API key. Print the case from the stl/ directory. Follow the reset button soldering guide in the README.
