Overview

A minimalist desk clock built on the LILYGO T5 4.7-inch e-paper display that shows the current time, date, and weather conditions. Time is synced via NTP and weather data comes from the OpenWeatherMap API, displayed with custom weather icons (Meteocons font). Battery voltage monitoring lets you know when it's time to recharge.

The firmware uses deep sleep aggressively — the ESP32 wakes for about 60 seconds to connect to WiFi, sync time, fetch weather, update the display, then goes back to sleep. Periodic full screen redraws prevent e-paper ghosting artifacts. The project includes OpenSCAD 3D-printable enclosure files and runs on a 3.7V lithium battery for months between charges.
