Airlytix ES1 Home Assistant Automation Blueprints
Ready-to-use Home Assistant automation examples for the Airlytix ES1: CO2-based ventilation control, PM2.5 air purifier triggers, VOC kitchen extraction, nighttime noise alerts, and air quality notifications.
Overview
The official Airlytix documentation includes a collection of Home Assistant automation blueprints and examples designed specifically for the ES1 environment monitor. These automations leverage the ES1's multi-sensor capabilities to create intelligent responses to indoor air quality changes.
Automation Examples
Air Quality State Notifications
Send push notifications when the ES1's overall air quality state changes to "fair" (orange) or "poor" (red), alerting you to ventilate or investigate the cause.
CO2-Based Ventilation Control
Automatically activate a fan or ventilation system when CO2 exceeds 1200 ppm and deactivate it when levels drop below 900 ppm. Uses hysteresis to prevent rapid on/off cycling.
PM2.5 Air Purifier Trigger
Turn on an air purifier when PM2.5 readings reach "poor" levels and automatically turn it off once conditions return to "good."
VOC/NOx Kitchen Extraction
Activate a kitchen extractor fan when VOC or NOx indices become poor (e.g., during cooking), with an automatic 20-minute runtime.
Nighttime Noise Monitoring
Alert when ambient sound levels exceed 45 dB during quiet hours (10 PM - 7 AM), useful for monitoring noise disturbances.
Reusable Blueprint Template
A configurable Home Assistant blueprint template for state-based notifications with selectable entity and notification service parameters.
Getting Started
All automations are available in the Airlytix documentation with complete YAML code ready to paste into your Home Assistant configuration.
